Good horror movies are hard to come by and I mean one's that actually make the viewer stop and think, "wow, that might happen, maybe and it would be scary as shit!" That was both the 28 movies to me. As long as quality over shadows quantity then keep making them. As soon as there's only 11 lines of dialogue and Jessica Alba, then I'm out... |

While I enjoyed every entry in the series, I like that a new director has been brought in. I don't know who's idea it was to have the father following the kids in the 2nd one, but that pretty much ruins the whole movie with it's coincidental moments. Hopefully this is more like the first (or first ten minutes of 2). |

I wish they were bringing Fresnadillo back , he tore it up something fierce in 28 weeks , and he maintained a consistent level of energy throughout , the frenetic pace was almost unbearable at times , i don't see why he's not being tapped to expand on his vision .
I'm still looking forward to the next chapter , but i'm disappointed that JCF isn't being brought back . |

I'm with the rarity here in that I dug 28 WEEKS LATER and am all for seeing 28 MONTHS LATER. The first two are some of the best zombie movies I've ever seen, although, as it has already been pointed out, in the 28 films they are not actually zombies; which for me definitely makes it more appealing. I guess slow moving corpses just aren't particularly frightening to me anymore. But some rage induced fuckers who will run your ass down and fuck you up? Yeah, that's some scary shit. |

BRING IT ON...
u r not alone, fire capt. you know how ridley scott made an amazing horror flick called alien? then jim cameron came along with a kick-ass sci fi sequel called aliens? different styles of film, 2 classics.
danny boyle made a good film, and the sequel just upped the ante big-time, it really pushed the film into cool gore territory, helicopter blades lopping off limbs was just classic stuff.
so sequels have the ability to impress, and improve on an original concept, when done right, as 28 weeks was. i say bring on months, and years, if the quality keeps going in this upward direction. |

I GUESS I'M THE ONLY ONE...
looking forward to this? Oh, well, at least I got the balls to admit it.
I thought "28 Weeks Later" was pretty good... really good actually, especially for a horror seguel. Granted, it lacked the intellegence, insight, and originality of the original- but it was well enough acted, directed competently, and it never dragged in its pace. From beginning to end, the movie is a shot of pure adrenaline. The characters were actualy developed, to an extent, which is much more effort than 95% of modern horror movies even attempt. The score was omnious and played well with the films tone, even if half of it was ripped from the original picture.
All I'm saying is that it certainly isn't one of the worst films I'VE ever seen. I mean: Child's Play 3, Seed of Chucky, Jason Goes to Hell, A Nightmare on Elm Street: Freddy's Dead, Prom Night ('07), Halloween 5, Halloween 6, Halloween: Resurrection, Texas Chainsaw 4: The Next Generation, Arachnid, Raptor Island, Bloodrayne, House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark... THOSE are TERRIBLE movies.
"28 Weeks Later", people really shit on that one too much. I mean, Jesus, it has a 7.1 average on imdb from almost 50,000 votes. That's pretty damn good for both a horror movie and sequel, not to mention a horror sequel.
As long as this next one is on par with "weeks", I'm all for it. There is far worse garbage being cashed out nowadays *cough*SAW!*cough* |

28 Weeks Later has an awesome beginning, but is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. No thanks on the sequel. |

The whole purpose of the title 28 Days Later is that 28 represents the amount of time it took the zombies to starve and die.
Why are they making sequels? |
