The upcoming Al Pacino movie 88 MINUTES has a runtime of 110 minutes according to imdb.com. But the movie’s plot deals with Pacino’s character—a professor moonlighting as an FBI forensics psychologist—receiving a death threat claiming he has only 88 minutes to live. I wonder if those 88 minutes happen in real time? In order to solve the murder, Pacino’s character must investigate a serial killer on death row he help put away, an ex-girlfriend and a even a campus security guard? Is there any way he can bounce back and forth like that in 5280 seconds? Doubtful, but I guess we’ll find out on April 18th. Oh, and check out the poster BELOW.

Extra Tidbit: This movie has a strangely large number of once promising actresses who never quite hit the big-time: Alicia Witt, Leelee Sobieski, Amy Brenneman, and Deborah Kara Unger.

Sounds like its greatly inspired by classic film noir D.O.A.

This was supposed to be a straith-to-DVD film until Pacino started working with the same director on Righteous Kills.

I've already seen the movie. I enjoyed it. It's not great by any means. It has a lot of holes in the plot but I found the movie to be very entertaining and didn't really notice them until after it was over.

And both Alicia Witt and Amy Brenneman are both hot.

I don't know how long this has been wrapped, but it has been years! Just about every single time that is true the movie blows. I'm bettin' this one does too. It's too bad because Pacino is a living legend, but it seems he's done some awful crap in the last 5 years. Remember "S1mone?" Yeah no one does. How about "Two for the Money?" Yeah great premise, didn't work.
