Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. To a lot of you these are two actors whose work you generally avoid at all costs. And with a few exceptions (PUNCH DRUNK LOVE, FUNNY PEOPLE, THE GOOD GIRL), you have good reason. So I don't expect many people to be optimistic about a romantic comedy that stars both Adam Sandler AND Jennifer Aniston.

The two are in talks to star in PRETEND WIFE, a comedy that would once again reteam Sandler with director Dennis Dugan (GROWN UPS, ZOHAN, CHUCK & LARRY, etc.). While no formal plot description was provided (no spoiler alerts here!!), but considering the script was originally titled HOLIDAY IN HAWAII, I'm going to go out on a limb that Sandler's character wants to go on a honeymoon so he hires a woman to pretend to be his wife and along the way they fall in love and so on and so forth. The script was written by Allan Loeb, who just wrote the Aniston comedy THE BASTER, and Tim Dowling who wrote the once famous short "George Lucas in Love."

Because the Valentine's Day weekend is becoming almost as important as 4th of July or Christmas, Sony has already staked out February 11, 2011 as a release date. Yay.

Office space. Only role where Aniston doesn't completley play herself.

She pretty much plays herself partnered with a funny guy.

"Oh I'm going to be me reacting to a bad breakup with Vince Vaughn. Or maybe I'll be me with Jim Carrey playing god."

She needs something new. She should steal a page from Kate Winslet's book of talent.

I wouldn't go to the theaters to see this, but I might rent it if it's good. Marley and Me was pretty good. I didn't figure it would be but it was. Zohan was retarded, and bedtime stories was decent. I liked George Lucas in Love, so this might be decent.

Aniston needs to find a new agent.
You've seen one Aniston movie, you've seen them all. She seems to be the most recent victim of the post-tv typecasting dilemma. Still love office space though.

Funny People was the complete opposite of funny. It did have people in it, so the title wasn't a complete lie.

Aniston used to be an actress
When Friends finished she was genuinely trying to prove herself as an actress and I respected that. But when she married Brad Pitt, it looked like she just stopped trying and decided to become a star instead. What a waste.

You know, I hated funny people. It was pretty long and boring. And I like both Sandler and Aniston, so I will probably rent this.

typecast..
She needs to stop trying to be the Meg Ryan of the 2000s (and miserably failing at it) and look for a change in roles. Maybe something along the lines of an action thriller. Aniston armed and dangerous in leather tights anyone?
