Adult film star Sasha Grey finds more legit work opposite Tom Jane

Sasha Grey, the award-winning adult film star (2007's Best Three-Way Scene and 2008's Female Performer of the Year), is continuing to find success in mainstream film after 2009's "The Girlfriend Experience." Grey has signed on to co-star with Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe and Jeremy Piven in I MELT WITH YOU, the indie film from director Mark Pellington.

Grey's part doesn't appear to be huge but is a pivotal one in the film. MELT stars Jane, Lowe and Piven as college friends who reunite at a summer reunion. They resurrect a pact they loved to "live, die and kill by." What exactly that pact is is unclear but a description of Grey's character may give us some hints. She's described as a "free spirit who helps the men realize that nirvana can only be achieved by death." So I'm guessing these dudes are involved in some sort of suicide pact?

It was originally said that the film was something of a thriller but now is being billed as more of a drama (which jives a little better with the experimental clip that leaked online).

Filming is expected to begin on MELT next month in Northern California.

I thought Girlfriend Experience was horid, but not because of Sasha Grey. I think she has the IT factor and is captivating on film. She can say so much with so little. You can reada book in her facial expressions. I hope she breaks into mainstream and becomes quite successful. So, she had sex on film, so what? It's just sex. Hope her the best.

Just remember very few porn stars get hired for their "acting" ability. The fact that she can actually do so makes her rare in that field, and she has a solid shot at making it. Many have tried before her and failed.

Well Traci Lords had a modest career. Nothing really memorable, except maybe Blade. Although she has done more TV than films.
