Shutter stills

I find it werid that I've never heard of SHUTTER. The 2005 ghost flick by Banjong Pisanthanakun and Parkpoom Wongpoom from Thailand. The Arrow saw it though, and basically told it "Listen, the sex was great, so I'm going to save your number for future reference." "What went down is that I finally squinted my eyes in utmost fear again like a uber bitch while watching a horror movie." SOLD!
So I'll definately be looking for SHUTTER, but like most international horror movies that kick ass, this one is getting remade. Man, seems like I say that sentence at least once a week. And from The Arrow's review, it looks like this remake isn't going to be nearly as good as the original... but it'll try. Today a couple stills were released from the flick, found above and below. Joshua Jackson looking at a spooky picture... alright then. The synopsis reads: A young photographer and his girlfriend discover mysterious shadows in their photographs after a tragic accident. They soon learn that you can not escape your past.
So basically THE GRUDGE with cameras? Now I'm always looking for a ghost flick that's actually going to scare me, so I'll check it out... but it doesn't look promising. The remake is directed by Masayuki Ochiai and written by Luke Dawson. It stars Joshua Jackson, Rachael Taylor (below), James Kyson Lee, John Hensley, David Denman, Maya Hazen, and Adrienne Pickering. It's slated for a March 21, 2008 release. We'll keep you updated with any more news for SHUTTER.
