Shankland's kids tease

Way back in May Mike told us all about a new flick coming from WAZ director Tom Shankland. The flick was pegged to be called THE DAY and oozed potential.
Well it's been 5 months (jeez...) and THE DAY has gone through some transformations. The biggest being that the title has now been changed to THE CHILDREN, which I dig much more. We've also got a look at the teaser trailer over in our videos section. So go ahead and check that out by clicking through below.
Now that that's all out of the way, let's get into brass tacks... what exactly is THE CHILDREN? Well here's the synopsis: A relaxing Christmas vacation turns into a terrifying fight for survival as the children begin to turn on their parents.
Oh I am definately game! Plus it's coming from the UK, and they seem to know how to handle horror. Now the one question that's burning in my mind is this: What exactly makes these kids snap? Now kids in horror movies freak me out... they're just creepy, right? Hell, just walk into a mall on a weekend night and it feels like NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD ala little teenagers... sometimes I seriously fear for my life. Now with THE CHILDREN it looks like we're dealing with kids in the 6-12 range... and that's even worse.
THE CHILDREN looks like it's going to be a tapped flick filled with blood and creepiness. Now the script comes from Paul Andrew Williams, who happens to be the guy behind another British horror flick called THE COTTAGE, which I found to be pretty enjoyable... but not fantastic. As I mentioned, Tom Shankland will be directing with Jeremy Sheffield, Rachel Shelley, Stephen Campbell, Eva Birthistle, Hannah Tointon, and Eva Sayer all starring.
So what do you think? THE CHILDREN have any potential here? I'm definately looking forward too it! And I'm willing to bet it'll make parents try harder to get their kids what they want for Christmas...

I love Christmas.
