Anderson writing Res. Evil 4

I guess this isn't the hugest news since we all probably could have assumed it anyway, but it looks like we're getting another RESIDENT EVIL movie - live-action, this time - and it's being written by none other than Paul W.S. Anderson. I know, I can't believe it either. Next thing you'll tell me Milla Jovovich is going to be in it, and it's going to take the franchise that much closer to straight-to-DVDville...

Anderson confirmed this in a rather uninteresting article about him having kids with Milla, which I don't need to know about. Great, you bang a hot broad who knows you're responsible for movies like SOLDIER and AVP. Congrats, ya gloating bastard! Yeah, I'm an angry man... Anyway, here's the quote from him, which pops up at the very end of the article: “I’m writing an adaptation of the Long Good Friday right now, set in present-day Miami. Then I will probably write Resident Evil 4.”

I think we can all assume "probably" means definitely. Funny thing is, I actually don't hate the RESIDENT EVIL movies, I think they're passable entertainments. But I'm also not gonna pretend it isn't time to just give it a rest already. At least for a few more years.
