When an indie slasher features as many awesome genre stars as the names I am about to reveal, you know it has to be worth checking out! I’m talking Debbie Rochon, Tiffany Shepis, Kristina Klebe, Tony Todd, Tony Moran, and PJ Soles! Pretty impressive list, right? The flick this group is partaking in is called BEG from director Kevin MacDonald. Take a stab at its plot:

Burnt out detective Jack Fox is being forced into early retirement. When the worst serial killer since the Boston Strangler begins a killing spree, Jack is torn between a life of retirement and sanity, or helping rookie detective Steve Ryan stop the maniac who is stalking the streets of Salem.

Nothing too life-altering, but I do believe that the quality of BEG will depend mostly on MacDonald’s execution. If you check out the flick’s MySpace page here, you’re bound to find many slasher-fan-friendly goodies including a quick teaser trailer.

I, for one, have faith in MacDonald and the amazing cast he’s assembled. There’s just too many big names for this movie to completely suck. Plus, I believe that MacDonald is a big fan of our slasher genre and doubt that he would want to disappoint us. Anyone beg to differ? I’ll be keeping my eyes open for any release info.

Ms. Klebe takes a shower in BEG.

Well...
I have seen to many low budgeters with big names that are pretty bad. Hopefully Rochon and Shepis get enough screen time. I have been myspace friends with this movie for along time. Hopefully the movie comes out soon.
