Strike Back below!
by: Mike Catalano Oct. 29, 2008

This Halloween, will you be one of the lucky few to be near by a movie theater featuring the indie horror SPLINTER on its marquee? Sadly, the flick will be getting only a very limited release this October 31st, hence I’m going to get stuck waiting for the DVD. However, Magnet Pictures has now released so many pics from the flick that I could probably piece ’em all together and get the same viewing experience as watching it on the big screen. Jared P. gave you guys a bunch of images at the beginning of this month. Now, today we’ve got a bunch more.

My fave of the new batch is up top. What the f*ck is up with that?! I believe some major shit must be going down in SPLINTER. That’s a hand, right? Well, at least part of it, I guess. And what’s that shit splintering out of it? Perhaps the plot synopsis can shed some more light on the subject: Trapped in an isolated gas station by a veracious Splinter parasite that transforms its still living victims into deadly hosts, a young couple and an escaped convict must find a way to work together to survive this primal terror.

Damn, that sounds like some cool shit! I now really want to catch this flick. Ugh, waiting sucks, but I guess I have no choice. Anyways, SPLINTER was directed by Toby Wilkins who also wrote the script along with Kai Barry and Ian Shorr. It stars Shea Whigham, Paulo Costanzo, hottie Jill Wagner (below), Charles Baker, Rachel Kerbs, and Laurel Whitsett. You can view the rest of the new pics by clicking here.
