Corporate Zombie Killers

I just finished telling you about one horror/comedy and I'm getting right into another. Instead of vampires though, this one will center on zombies and, get this... it'll take place in a corporate office park. Riiight.
No seriously, and truth be told I'm excited for this one. It's called THE CORPORATE ZOMBIE KILLERS and it's about a group of temps that try to escape a corporate office park after an outbreak of a zombie virus. Alright, I'm thinking the characters from THE OFFICE against an army of zombies... and if that's the case I'm down! Oh I'm definitely down!
Screen Daily are dropping the good word that Blowtorch, an LA based production company, have just scored the script for THE CORPORATE ZOMBIE KILLERS. They've even got a director attached already in the form of Danny Leiner. You may recognize Leiner's name as the guy behind HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE. Now I'm a big fan of comedies with great characters. I'm talking characters that stand out and make situations funny. HAROLD AND KUMAR had that by the boatful ('Is this your special bush?'), so needless to say I'm stoked to hear Leiner will be behind ZOMBIE KILLERS.
James Biederman and John Plummer penned the script and will work on developing the film beside Leiner. Leiner even went on to talk about the project, offering this amusing statement:
"Once in a lifetime, a script comes along which is beautiful, devastating and life-changing. The Corporate Zombie Killers is none of those, but it is an amazingly hilarious, satirical and action-packed ride in the undying and often overlooked world of corporate zombies."
Works for me! I'm definitely looking forward to THE CORPORATE ZOMBIE KILLERS and will be keeping an eye on it, so keep it here for any updates.
