Earth Day terror

Halloween, Christmas Day, Valentine's Day, April Fool's Day, New Year's Day, Independence Day, hell, even Thanksgiving Day (sort of)... practically every holiday has received some kind of treatment through our genre. You'd think that by now there'd be none left... think again! Because here comes EARTH DAY. That's right, I said EARTH DAY. It's a low-budget horror comedy coming from a kind band of folks located in Eugene, Oregon (Faux Show Productions). Now, take a sec to inhale the crazy plot:
A group of ex eco-crusaders find themselves being systematically slaughtered as the one year anniversary of the tragic Earth Day death of their leader, Pixie, approaches. Detective Trent Torrance suspects only one man: Hassan, who grew up in the most extreme terrorist sect in all of Pakistan, only to be expelled for "going under the Burga" and embracing the forbidden art of Women's hair care. Together with Priscilla, Pixie's nihilistic twin sister, they strive to prove Hassan's innocence, while trying to avoid her insanely overprotective father plastic surgeon father Dr. Percival Peever, and his plastic surgery casualty of an assistant, Lenora.
Shit, that was a mouthful. I can't even make much sense of it, but hopefully it's all done with tongue placed firmly in cheek. I took the liberty of placing the trailer for EARTH DAY below. The cast includes Daphne Danger, Adrian Salge, Gaylord Walker, Bruce Lundy, Josef Gordon, Rebecca Teran, and Johanna Laemle. And, of course, the flick opens on April 22, 2009!
