Severin Films will be releasing one of my fav horror films the RIGHT WAY on DVD and Blu Ray come September 29th.. Yup, am talking about Richard Stanley's Sci-Fi Horror badboy HARDWARE (Read my review here). YEEHAW! Severin were kind enough to give us the exclusive first look at the the finalized artwork and some nifty information as to the disk.

Originally rated X by the MPAA and then edited by distributor Miramax, HARDWARE will be presented uncut and uncensored for the first time ever from a print supplied by director Richard Stanley himself. In addition, the limited edition two-disc DVD (pre order it here) and Blu-ray will also be packaged in a limited edition metal case!

THis is fantastic news! The DVD of Dust Devil that came out a few years back is incredible, so I have high hopes for this release also. Stanley's life is makes for more interesting subject matter at time than his movies (listen to the interviews with him on the Dust Devil DVD set). Great filmmaker who should get more praise.

Saw this at the theater opening night, and loved it. My buddy was just going "really?". Saw it again the next weekend, then taped the VHS when I rented it, and haven't seen it again in years. Can not WAIT for the BD. :)

Fuck dude i've been looking EVERYWHERE for this movie since the arrow gave it 4 stars but i couldn't find it, not even to watch on tha computer... thank f*cking GOD i can now though, thanks arrow i know it won't disappoint!

Finally.
Not a lot of people are down with this movie but I really dug it's funky dystopian slow burn. Tidbit: This movie is shamelessly pushed as Cyborg 2 in Colombia, South America. Trying to build off the JCVD 1989 movie. I guess there was no real translation for HARDWARE.
