Carol Anne? Carol Anne? Go towards the turkey! There has been specualtion of a POLTERGEIST remake for quite some time. And today, it seems the folks over at Shock have learned something extremely promising in the shape of an actual release date.

So, as of now, it appears that the POLTERGEIST remake will be arriving in theaters on November 24, 2010, just in time for Thanksgiving. So, before you fill your face with a freshly baked bird and some stuffing, you can watch some pesky spooks take up residence with the Freelings. However, let's not start making plans just yet. I haven't seen any super solid sources on this subject so far. Let's now jump the gun, okay?

I do know that director, Vadim Perelman (HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG), is still attached to the project. I'll be keeping my eyes open for any further info in the coming days. I'll also be keeping my eyes open for any psycho clowns that might be under the bed.

Jennifer Connelly of HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG.

Spilled Blood: I wonder if they'll get Craig T. Nelson to cameo?

Fuck this. There's no need for a Poltergeist remake.
