100 FEET - October 20th
The moment we've all been waiting for around the Arrow in the Head householdis finally here: the official release date of Eric Red's 100 FEET! The cover rocks the awesomeness of Famke Janssen, and let's face it... it's from the writer of NEAR DARK and THE HITCHER, and the director of BAD MOON... I'm so there! Not to mention the fact that it stars the Arrow (aka John Fallon) and our very own Eric Walkuski also appears in the film briefly. Show it some love this Halloween season.
The Goods:
FLESH, TX - September 22nd
In the same vein as WRONG TURN and JOY RIDE, with a cover similar to REST STOP, this latest dip into roadside horror looks like it may be promising... or not. Don't get me wrong, I dig the cover to some degree, it's just that it's been done before. Then again, that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm not a big fan of Texas as a rule, so a movie that vilifies it is a-OK in my book. Let it be know that I'll never visit Flesh, TX... ever... even if it is a fictitious town.
The Goods:
BLOOD TIES - October 20th
Ouch! That's all I can think of when I look at this cover. Ouch! While some chick's nails digging into your back may be hot in some situations, this here is just simply fugged up! This cover tells me nothing about the plot or story of this film, nor does it give me a reason to care, but you know what... based on the cover alone, I'll check out BLOOD TIES. I mean, if nothing else, there should be at least one bloody back-ripping scene, right? Ouch!
The Goods:
EVILIUTION –September 22nd– Because this play on words is priceless!
CONTAGIO – November 3rd– Because the title sounds exotic enough to make me believe there's something more to this movie than what the cover is telling me.
COMMAND PERFORMANCE - November 3rd – Because it's Dolph Lundgren as a rock star action hero! Score!
