Pill a lesbian werewolf

Seems as though Ellen Page keeps on getting cold feet when it comes to the horror projects she attaches herself to. First it was DRAG ME TO HELL, and now it's JACK AND DIANE. Page was at one time attached to the film, which is, to put it plainly, a lesbian werewolf movie. It's been a long time since I heard anything about it; turns out there's been some action behind the scenes, as the one time Oscar nominee has apparently left the project.
According to the film's official website, Page has been replaced by Alison Pill (pictured right). Pill was recently seen in MILK and the HBO series "In Treatment".
Jack and Diane, two teenage girls, meet in New York City and spend the night kissing ferociously. Diane's charming innocence quickly begins to open Jack's tough-skinned heart. But when Jack discovers that Diane is leaving the country in a week, she tries to push her away. Diane struggles to keep their love alive while hiding a secret that her newly awakened sexual desire is turning her into a werewolf.
Aw hell yeah! Cutie Olivia Thirlby (pictured below) will be playing the other gal...
Perhaps even cooler is the revelation of who will be working on the effects side of the flick. Gabe Bartalos (LEPRECHAUN, FRANKENHOOKER) will be doing the creature design (including, according to the site, making a "skinless beast"), and the Brothers Quay will be doing animation. If you don't know who these guys are, quickly look into them. Their short films are pretty damn haunting, not to mention eerie.

Spilled Blood: This would have reunited Page and Thirlby, who were both in JUNO.
