Goggins in Predators?

ComingSoon is reporting that Walton Goggins, star of F/X's THE SHIELD, is set to have a starring role in the upcoming Nimrod Antal directed PREDATORS, from writer/producer Robert Rodriguez.

A week ago we learned that Danny Trejo will also have a role in the film, but other than that, no official casting announcements for PREDATORS have been made--even Trejo's involvement in the picture isn't 100% confirmed at this point.

I may be the only clown out there who thought this, but who the flock is Walton Goggins? I don't watch THE SHIELD, so where else might we have seen him? He had a role in Rob Zombie's HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES (though I don't remember him), a small appearance in JOY RIDE (though uncredited), and starred in THE CROW: SALVATION, and HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP.

And yet I still can't place him. Ah well. Those who follow THE SHIELD seem to be on board with this guy, so who am I to argue? Word on the street is that he's pretty badass, so I'll believe it... until I believe otherwise.

Of course, which role Goggins would be playing in PREDATORS isn't known, and this here 'casting update' is more of a 'rumor' that should only be taken with a grain of salt at this point. But if it's the real deal? Well, then, cool beans... I guess.
