Weekly Slaughter #149

The one and only weekend in October that doesn't have a single genre flick hitting theaters. Not sure what's going on with that, but there it is. That's ok, cause there's enough newly released flicks hitting DVD to make up for it. Thomas Jane's DARK COUNTRY, the highly anticipated TRICK 'R TREAT, and the four films of the Ghost House Underground, including Val Kilmer in THE THAW (not to mention SEVENTH MOON, THE CHILDREN, and OFFSPRING) are getting the release treatment. Other titles hitting DVD today include THE GATE (SE), IT'S ALIVE (remake), and TALES FROM THE CRYPTKEEPER (S1 & S2). I didn't even mention SAND SERPENTS, FEEDING GROUNDS, HIDE AND CREEP, CHILDREN OF THE CORN, or STAUNTON HILL--all of which are also hitting DVD today. Yikes! No wonder studios left theaters alone, everyone's gonna be inside catching up on their horrror from home!
