From James D.R. Hickox, the dude behind such immortal efforts as CHILDREN OF THE CORN III: URBAN HARVEST & KROCODYLUS, comes the new haunted-high-school flick DETENTION.

Featuring one of the last starring roles from the late great David Carradine, DETENTION finds:

A group of high school students who are sent to detention for unexplained reasons. There, the teenagers find themselves abandoned and locked in their classroom after their detention teacher leaves and then mysteriously disappears.

With night slowly approaching, a thunder storm builds outside. The heavy rain and lightening causes a massive power failure throwing the school in total darkness. Strange, haunting images of ghosts begin to appear in the school. The kids manage to break out of the classroom only to find that the building has taken on a life of its own, keeping them trapped inside.

Alongside Carradine are Thomas Calabro, Zelda Williams, Billy Aaron Brown, Preston Jones, Rachel Sterling (below), Maitland McConnell, Black Thomas, Lil J, Mo, Alexa Jago, Jeremy Luc, and Peter Pasco.

The project is setup at New Horizon Pictures and currently has no release date in sight.

This looks hilariously bad. I'd watch to laugh at it.
