Edge of Darkness Trailer!

Detective Martin Riggs is back, but this time his name is Thomas Craven, but he's the same pissed-off, revenge-filled badass we've come to expect. I'm talking Mel Gibson returning to the big screen in the revenge thrilled EDGE OF DARKNESS, from the director of CASINO ROYALE (Martin Campbell).

So what's this sucker about? Check it out: Thomas Craven is a veteran homicide detective for the Boston Police Department and a single father. When his only child, 24-year-old Emma, is murdered on the steps of his home, everyone assumes that he was the target. But he soon suspects otherwise, and embarks on a mission to find out about his daughter's secret life and her killing. His investigation leads him into a dangerous looking-glass world of corporate cover-ups, government collusion and murder -- and to shadowy government operative Darius Jedburgh who has been sent in to clean up the evidence. Craven's solitary search for answers about his daughter's death transforms into an odyssey of emotional discovery and redemption.

Think RANSOM meets PAYBACK, with a touch of TAKEN in for good measure. Maybe not as over the top action as you'd expect, but it's nice to see Gibson back in action, kicking ass, and looking really pissed off. Nice to have ya back, Mel! Enjoy the trailer below, and get ready for EDGE OF DARKNESS in theaters January 29, 2010.

Undisputed 3 Trailer!

The trailer for the upcoming Scott Adkins actioner UNDISPUTED 3 hit the inter this week, and if you're a fan of the series, you'll be in for a treat. Lots of ass kicking, lots of action, lots of fun stuff ahead!

From director Isaac Florentine, UNDISPUTED 3 has Atkins returning as Uri Boyka, now in jail, and fighting in prison-sanctioned fights, fighting for one thing: the shot at freedom. Sound like fun? Check out the madness below and decide for yourself. And if you need more reasons to nail this sucker home, head over HERE and check out over 60 new images from the film and from behind the scenes.

UNDISPUTED 3 is set to be released sometime in 2010.

New Ninja pics!

If you found you needed more of your Scott Adkins fix, then you're in luck! A whole gallery of new images from NINJA hit this week over HERE, and boy oh boy does this flick look like solid good fun!

Directed by Isaac Florentine, NINJA goes a little something like this: A westerner named Casey, studying Ninjutsu in Japan, is asked by the Sensei to return to New York to protect the legendary Yoroi Bitsu, an armored chest that contains the weapons of the last Koga Ninja.

What's not to love about that? The new pics look promising, if only to say Adkins will be doing a lot of jumping, kicking, and looking tough. Bring it! NINJA is set to hit sometime in 2010, in the meantime, check out the new gallery over HERE and call it a day!

Red Dawn official date!

The upcoming remake of RED DAWN finally hit a release date, or should I say, landed on an even better release date than it previously had. The flick originally had a September 24, 2010, date, right at the end of 'Dump Month,' and now has a new date with November 24, 2010, right in time for Thanksgiving!

Yes, it's being pushed back 2 months, but a Thanksgiving release means the studios believe in it more than a crappy September release, so I'm thinking this push is a good thing. Not that I'm totally down with the remake, but hey--if it kicks as much ass as the original, I'll be the first one to say I was wrong.

Get ready for RED DAWN in theaters everywhere November 24, 2010.

More join Mechanic!

The upcoming remake of THE MECHANIC is going full steam ahead, with Jason Statham in the lead hitman and Steve McKenna as his apprentice. Variety announced a few more actors joining the cast, and it turns out this flick is turning out pretty damn good!

Ben Foster and Donald Sutherland have both signed on to star in the film from director Simon West (CON AIR). The update is described as A spy thriller in a post 9/11 world.

Ok, that doesn't do us any good. Well, the original went a little like this: An aging hitman befriends a young man who wants to be a professional killer. Eventually it becomes clear that someone has betrayed them.

That's a little better. Foster and Sutherland joining Statham in a flick from the director of CON AIR? It might be a remake, but this sucker's sounding hot! Stick around for more on THE MECHANIC as we hear it!

Pine new Jack Ryan?!

According to the good folks over at Variety, it appears as though Captain Kirk himself, Chris Pine, is in talks to take over the iconic role of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan character.

Other actors to have played the action hero include Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, and Ben Affleck, The "reboot' of the character will have Jack Ryan in a whole new adventure written especially for the big screen, and not based on a novel by Clancy at all.

I dig Pine as an actor, but as Jack Ryan? Maybe if it's an origin film it could work, but not as a continuation of Baldwin or Ford. And not having the new film based on a Clancy book has me a bit concerned, but you know. I'll give it a shot. Why the hell not. Chris Pine as Jack Ryan? Bring it.

Expendables Trailer!

UPDATE: We were asked to take the TRAILER down (even though everybody has seen it by now).

The moment you all have been waiting for is finally here: the very first trailer for THE EXPENDABLES his this week, blowing audiences away everywhere in the amount of testosterone awesomeness squeezed into one trailer. Hold on to your butts, it's gonna be a kick-ass ride!

Stallone and Statham kicking ass side by side, Mickey Rourke looking nuts in his long hair, Jet Li providing some comic relief, and Dolph Lundgren looking like a villain to be reckoned with. It's obviously more of a promo reel, or a trailer cut for selling to distributors versus an 'official' trailer, but hell--I'll take it! It might not be the slickest trailer around, but you can plainly see the 80s awesomeness at work here, and I doubt there's a soul out there who doesn't want to check this sucker out!

The only problem? THE EXPENDABLES isn't scheduled to hit theaters until August! I don't know if I can wait that long! Ah well, at least the trailer rocks, which you can check out below. Bring on the pain!

KILL YA NEXT WEEK WITH MORE ACTION!
