I'm a big fan of the MEN IN BLACK films. I honestly couldn't really explain to you why but I find myself enjoying the shite out of those two flicks whenever they're on. It's just a mix of everything I suppose. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones can do no wrong it seems. Hey this is just my opinion... maybe some of you out there hate the MEN IN BLACK flicks... Well if that's the case then you'll be unhappy to hear a third film is on the way!

We've heard talk about MEN IN BLACK 3 for a while now but it seemed like nothing was set in motion. The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business blog dropped the word today that Sony just tapped TROPIC THUNDER scribe Etan Cohen to pen the script for MEN IN BLACK 3. Apparently he's already deep into his draft. World also has it that director Barry Sonnenfeld is set to return... but that bit isn't official yet so we'll wait on that.

But let's get down to the brass tacks here... Where's 'Jay' and 'Kay?' I don't want to see a MEN IN BLACK movie about Gee and Dee. The success of a third MEN IN BLACK film lies soley on if those two come back, agreed? So I'm going to hope Sony pulls out all the stops in pairing Smith and Jones again. If that's the case then they better hurry because MEN IN BLACK 3 already has a Spring 2010 start date penciled in!

Rumblings are Smith is definitely interested in coming back to one of his blockbuster roles but no word on Jones' interest. We'll eagerly await any news on MEN IN BLACK 3 and update you all once we hear more.

I wouldn't mind seeing Rosario Dawson back as well

Spilled Blood: So would anyone still be interested in this flick if Smith and Jones don't sign on?

First one was great scifi-comedy, but second was just pure crap. Sure it looked darn good, but humor didn't work, story was so-so, characters weren't as good as in first (Smith was still like an apperantice?!!). So, most of the problems were in script. So I wouldn't mind seeing MIB 3, I just hope that it will be better than second.
