Dyer enters Basement
Oct. 30, 2009
Danny Dyer is really making a name for himself in the U.K. horror scene. He first came to our attention as the wise-cracking Steve in Christopher Smith's SEVERANCE; since, he's also appeared in the psychological thriller STRAIGHTHEADS (with Gillian Anderson), and the women-gone-nuts horror-comedy DOGHOUSE (strongly recommended by our Booze Talkin' pal Jim Law); all flicks heavily covered on ARROW. Now he's getting ready to enter the BASEMENT.
Directed by Asham Kamboj, BASEMENT is about the following: Five diverse people inadvertently enter an underground base. They run into a nightmare scenario. Through a series of flashbacks we get clues and hints to why they are there and we realize that all have an important connection to each other and the place. But they soon learn that this situation is far bigger than them alone; it affects us all.
The flick also stars Jimi Mistry, Emily Beecham, and Kierston Wareing (pictured below). Shooting will take place at the legendary Pinewood Studios for three weeks.
