Marvel Zombies iPhone
Oct. 30, 2009
With technology progressing faster than a Catholic priest taking to underage altar-boy, it seems the comic book medium, just as all other print, may be in jeopardy. Okay perhaps not that dramatic, but it doesn’t erase the fact that Marvel has an entire spate of comics (old and new) set to be released through an iPhone application.
And one of those titles will be Robert Kirkman’s “Marvel Zombies,” which can be seen via distribution from Comixology – one of the forerunning companies in such a transaction.
Widely known for his acclaimed work on “The Walking Dead” – Kirkman’s “Marvel Zombies” is a 5-issue limited series published from December 2005 to April 2006. It’s illustrated by Sean Phillips, with cover work by Arthur Suydam (many sequels have been written since, including last month's run of "Marvel Zombies Return.")
As far as plotlines go, the original “Marvel Zombies” is set:
In an alternative universe of 2149, a zombified Sentry infects the Avengers. The infection spreads via contact with the blood of the victim, usually through a bite by an infected individual. The zombified superbeings largely retain their intellect and personality, although they are constantly driven by the hunger for fresh meat.
Which, when combined with the ass-kicking posters above and below, equals all kinds of rad!
It seems Comixology wants $1.99 per comic, which is 2 dollars less on average than an actual comic book.

Spilled Blood: What do you think? Would you rock a comic through an iPhone or what?
