So now that things are finally falling into place... where do you stand with Samuel Bayer's A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET? Once a film that the horror community was sickened by, this remake seems to have won a lot of people over, this writer being one of them. Although it seems everything isn't as great as it seems...

The guys over at Ain't It Cool News scored the first review from the film and it's not all gumdrops and flowers. This comes courtesy of a guy named 'Skin Peeler' and a recent test screening of the film in El Segundo. Now I didn't fully read through this shite in fear something would be spoiled but what I got from it was mostly negative... so this can't be a good sign. Then again this is one person's opinion among millions so who the hell knows?

If you're interested in checking out the review you can head right over HERE and be sure to keep it here for any other NIGHTMARE updates as we await it's highly anticipated April 30, 2010 release date.

Spilled Blood: I'm exactly 6 days older than NIGHTMARE star Katie Cassidy (above).

Not really a surprise.
Fred Krueger is Robert Englund. I never really held much hope for this after the abysmal Fiday 13th rehash. Oh well think I'll wait for the DVD.

Yeah, such a hard title and beloved series to try and successfully recreate. What sucks is I like Earle Haley well enough, hopefully he can endure the flick's reception and not burnout after a nice career resurgence.

The reviewer saw that it seemed like it was filmed so it could be easily edited for a PG-13 rating. That would suck.

Can anyone honestly say...
they didn't see it coming? I mean, it is destined to fail if the reviews are already negative.
