Avatar TV Spot #2
Nov. 3, 2009![]()
With about 6 weeks and counting (Dec. 18th), the heady folks over at 20th Century Fox aren’t fooling around with their ad campaigns for Jimmy Cameron’s grandiose Sci-Fi mind-bender AVATAR. It seems like every second post last week had something to do with the flick, and now we’ve got a pretty colorful second TV spot.
In the new clip, which aired Sunday during the World Series broadcast, we get a nice dose of action spectacle, character introduction and story motivation about Jake Sullivan (Sam Worthington) – a paraplegic war vet who tries to better understand the indigenous Pandora (Na’vi) after his DNA is recombined with theirs.
After seeing this spot and countless other teasers and trailers in the last month or so, I can honestly say one thing with certainty. And that is, aside from all the candy-colors and hyper-action, Giovanni Ribisi looks mighty oily as some kind of management official. The live action scenes between he and Sigourney Weaver look pretty damn entertaining.
Take a peek at the TV spot HERE (via Themoviebox.net) and tell us what you’re most excited about.
