Just the other day, original (and subsequent) SCREAM scribe Kevin Williamson chatted about some cool new SCREAM 4 details. We learned the franchise reboot, like all prior SCREAM flicks, will have a biting sense of self awareness, and original cast members Neve Campbell, as well as David and Courtney (Cox) Arquette are set to return.

Well, courtesy of the heated-business going down at this year’s American Film Market, some preliminary conceptual artwork for the 4th SCREAM film has been unearthed. Of course, without a completed script, you’re probably going to get an art design that matches that status. In other words, to me anyway, this art work is far from complete!

Sure it has the familiar iconography of that damn ghost-face. But really, “New Decade, New Rules”? Shit, I’ve seen better pitches than an over the hill Pedro Martinez (nice try last night, Pete!)

What do you think of the preliminary art? Does it look as rushed to you as it does to me?

SCREAM IV holds a tentative 2010 release.

Spilled Blood: Can a SCREAM reboot really be a good idea, or will it come off embarrassingly lame?

Hmmmm
I love the original trilogy, and in Williamson's hands this *might* turn out to be a very clever and intelligent reboot, BUT, I'm not getting my hopes too high.

This poster totally blows as does the tagline. It might as well say "Someone has taken their love of reboots one step too far."

Not so much...
In total agreement...Tag line could be much better, along with the imagery. Due to the magnitude of the series though, I understand the desire to rush. A poor choice, but a choice none the less.
