Phantasmagoria casts...
Nov. 5, 2009
Given the past-to-recent trend of shock-rockers turning horror film director (Dee Snider, Rob Zombie, etc.), it only makes sense that perhaps the most apposite of all, Marilyn Manson, would eventually try his hand as well.
Now such is certainly the case, as Manson has just added a new name to his writing/directing film debut, PHANTASMAGORIA: THE VISIONS OF LEWIS CARROLL.
And that name is…wait for it… …Ms. Lily Cole (seen below). Who the hell is Lily Cole, some may ruminate. Well, Cole is a hugely successful young British model who also happens to be branching out into feature film work. She’ll soon be seen in Terry Gilliam’s long awaited THE IMAGINARIUM OF DR. PARNASSUS, and has just been added to the cast of THE MOTH DIARIES.
But back to Manson’s project. As Cole tells FearNet.com, PHANTASMAGORIA “still has no production date” and that if the film ever does start rolling, she’s “due to play Alice, and Mason is going to play Lewis Carroll. The psychological horror film explores that relationship.”
Furthermore, PHANTASMAGORIA is set:
In Victorian times, where an author who lives by himself in a castle, has visions of a girl named Alice. His name is Lewis Carroll and he finds himself terrified of what waits for him each night. He has become a symptom of his own invention. "Now all my nightmares know my name."
Crazy shit then ensues, I’m sure. How can it not?

Spilled Blood: Manson is also tapped for a role in Alejandro Jodorowski's 2010 film KING SHOT.
