Cooper mows Dark Fields
Nov. 5, 2009
Though not a horror film proper, when you draw comparisons to such solid genre flicks like FIGHT CLUB and THE GAME (or the darkness of David Fincher in general), you bet your ass your catching a little love from our corner.
So it comes with no forced fervor when we tell you of Neil Burger’s (THE ILLUSIONIST) new thriller entitled DARK FIELDS, starring the recently added Bradley Cooper (THE HANGOVER, THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN).
According to THR:
The story follows a down-and-out writer (Cooper) who gets his hands on a top-secret pharmaceutical drug that makes one smarter. He experiences sudden financial and social success but soon discovers that the drug has lethal and lasting side effects, including "trip-switching," a phenomenon in which time moves with a stop-motion quality. Before long, mysterious antagonists are pursuing him.
“Trip-switching” huh? Sounds like our boy Ammon after a night of the High Life.

Spilled Blood: Here's to hoping Burger will re-team with THE ILLUSIONIST star Jessica Biel!
