Myriad Cries for Owl
Nov. 6, 2009
There's been a flick bouncing around for a while called CRY OF THE OWL. Recognize it? That's okay we don't either. The only thing this one seems to have going for it is star Julia Stiles... well if you're into Julia Stiles that is. I'm not.
But alas I'm here to tell you all about CRY OF THE OWL! According to The Hollywood Reporter the Jamie Thraves film will be hitting theaters thanks to Myriad Pictures. The plan is to release CRY OF THE OWL domestically in the fall with Paramount Home Entertainment handling DVD, Video-On-Demand and Pay Per View releases. Myriad will handle theatrical, Pay TV and other markets.
The film is based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith, which was a psychological thriller about a young woman who discovers she is being stalked by a troubled local man. Her fear turns to attraction until her boyfriend finds out and devises an elaborate scheme to frame Considine's character for a murder that never happened. Along with Stiles (below) the film also stars Paddy Considine.
No word on the exact dates for CRY OF THE OWL's theatrical run but we'll update you all once we hear them!

Spilled Blood: Stiles has actually graced our genre before, having starred in THE OMEN remake.
