Strike Back below!
by: Eric Walkuski Nov. 24, 2009

After two years of waiting for an official announcement, it seems as though we can finally expect HATCHET 2 to slice its way toward us in 2010. ShockTilYouDrop learned today that Victor Crowley will be making mincemeat out of a brand new bunch of unlucky peeps next year, with original director Adam Green once again taking the reins.

"It's finally happening... It's going to have double the body count and Anchor Bay is being cool enough to allow me to make the sequel I want to make."

Kane Hodder is back as the ghoulish murderer; though no other cast is known, Shock learned that Joel David Moore won't be returning. (Which makes sense, he DID lose an arm in the last one.)

When I spoke to Green a couple years ago while he was promoting the first HATCHET, he told me candidly, "I want to make the sequel that sucks the least." Hopefully, he'll make a movie that doesn't suck at all! (To read that 2007 interview, head on over HERE.)

HATCHET 2 is already in pre-production. Green's next film, FROZEN, comes out in February 2010.

Spilled Blood: Green also told me that he wanted Tony Todd's "Reverend Zombie" character to return... Mercedes McNab (above) certainly won't be able to.

Yes
Adam Green is back to do Hatchet 2.

I'm psyched for this but I'm holding out small hope for Tamara Feldman to come back.

I loved it also! I can't wait for a second one. You can tell from the beginning that it's more of a campy horror film.

I loved Hatchet for what it was. It was supposed to be corny. It was a damn fun time.

hmmmm
am I the only one who wasn't that impressed with Hatchet? It was too bright and clean and B-movie for me.
