Back in September we got wind of the ridiculousness that is the remake of I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE by CinTel Films and Anchor Bay Entertainment. At the time, no names were attached to star... but that all changes today as the full cast of I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE has been revealed!

Chad Lindberg, Daniel Franzese, Rodney Eastman, Sarah Butler, Jeff Branson, Saxon Sharbino, Amber Dawn Landrum, and Andrew Howard have all been tapped to star in the remake from director Steven R. Monroe.

Butler (pictured) stars as Jennifer, the heroine / victim of the film who gets her sweet, sweet revenge on the group of gang-rapers who molest and rape her, then leave her for dead. Besides a few CSI episodes and a couple of other smaller roles, you probably wouldn't recognize her, and for a role like this... maybe that's a good thing. Cast an unknown, and who knows... maybe this flick will be the flick to launch her career.

The rest of the cast is somewhat ho-hum, and further paints a picture of a low-profile, low-budget picture, unlike the THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT remake, which was larger and grander in every sense of the word. In a way, the remake is about as "little" as the original...

Stick around for more updates as we hear it, in the meantime contemplate what the new cast means for this ridiculous, and completely unnecessary remake of I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE.

Arrow: I love this site and have been visiting it almost daily since 2001. I didn't mean any disrespect, I'm just so sick of hearing about anything "Twilight" related and I feel that the current staff is a touch bit under qualified. Whatever though, I'm sorry for voicing that thread, I admit it was kinda outta line. Regarding this news post though...the remake is going to fall flat as most ...

"I Spit on Your Grave" was raw, and struck a nerve that won't translate with any kind of decent/current production value. That and I think the "Saw" series has numbed the general audience and these contemporary flicks strive for nothing but shock value, missing the vibe that lays within a deeper level. That or they pussy out for a PG-13 rating.

Never heard of the cast, also had to look up the director. What I have seen of his was terrible so while I wouldn't have been expecting much from this needless remake as it was it might end up being even worse. I am rather curious as to how they'll handle the rape scene and if it'll be as drawn out as the original.

Wicked gotta love complainers, urgh!

ANYWAY time to actually complain about the news article. I am a fan of the original and unless they grow balls and actually have this some what as brutal then the original it wont work. It worked because of how brutal and awful it was, the things they could do in the 70's they bloody can't do now. I have no hopes for this, boo.

I guess you're an essential Horror fan then KyussRk? Just because some people have not seen certain films deemed to be classic or essential does not mean they can't be educated horror fans or critics. I think they have a fresher take on things than someone who has been drench in it for years sometimes. I feel the horror community is sometimes its own worst enemy sometimes.

I reviewed New Moon cause its the hottest thing since slice bread and lots of horror readers dig it, not to appease anyone. I'd be stupid business wise NOT to review it. Actually Dread Central, BD and STYD also reviewed it for probably the same reasons
