Hack to slash

There aren't a lot of properties that I'm more psyched to see on the big screen than HACK/SLASH. In case you're unfamiliar with it, the graphic novels follow the exploits of one Cassie Hack who hunts serial killers. Yep, think a goth Lara Croft chasing down Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers.

The path to the silver screen for this puppy has been as circuitous as often happens, but we got news last night that music video director Todd Lincoln has gotten the nod to helm and script the project. Producing are Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter for Rogue Pictures.

It's hard to call any concept un-screwupable, but this one's got to come awfully close. With the sea of remakes and toothless teen offerings assaulting the genre of late, it warms my heart to know a good 'ole, graphic, ass-kicking flick is in the making. Especially when the lead is soooooo sexy.
