Look - More Zombies!
I’m a simple creature really. While I have a deep love for genre classics, it also takes very little for me to have a great time watching a horror flick. Gore, some T&A, decent characters and if not a creative villain or monster, at least a messy aggressive one.
Well the folks over at Killer Wolf Films seem to be on the right track with SWAMP ZOMBIES. It’s currently in post-production, and while it’s dangerous to get too high on a project that hasn’t released anything other than stills yet, I will say all the elements are in place for a gore hound’s delight.
The story concerns an evil scientist and a shady group of investors bent on bringing the dead back to life. Soon the plan goes amok and a zombie rampage breaks out. Pretty standard, but I do like the word rampage. Two other phrases that caught my little eye in the specs they kindly sent over - filled with gore; ample nudity.
To top it all off, the cast has two notable people in it. Dan “The Beast” Severn, who will be familiar to fans of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, will presumably be kicking much ass in the role of Police Captain. And taking a page from the wisdom of SAMHAIN, the filmmakers got themselves a pornstar and put the lovely Jasmin St. Claire in the role of...well, who cares. She’s in it. I’m there.
So here’s hoping the debut of brothers Leonard and Stephen Kabasinski lives up to its promise. I’ll be rooting for them.
