I'm aware that when we first covered a story about Del Toro working on the H.P. Lovecraft masterpiece  AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS, many of you were skeptical that the film wouldn't be able to be properly translated to the big screen.

However, it seems that the guys over at LatinoReview.com have grabbed a copy of the script that Del Toro and Matthew Robbins have written for MOUNTAINS and they have nothing but praise for it.

If you click here you can check out the excerpt that LatinoReview is hosting, in which they gave an 'A+' to the script as a whole. I would personally love to see Del Toro do a Lovecraft story, and AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS seems like the perfect fit.

I've been a fan of Del Toro's work since I saw THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE , and I have to say that he is proving to everyone that he truly is an absolute genius when it comes to fiction and horror. I hope that this film will be made, not only for the sake of seeing a great Lovecraft story on screen, but to simply see another Del Toro masterpiece.

Ohhh, I hope so. I have faith in del Toro, but I'm naturally also very, very concerned with how a Lovecraft story (especially one as *suggestive*, as opposed to *descriptive*, as MOUNTAINS) might translate on screen.

Here's to hoping...
