 Day
2 on my "Samhain" set visit wasn’t the as positive an experience
as day
one was. I waited for 3 looong hours to talk to Chasey Lain. Thank
God
for the very funny and sexy publicist of the film. She kept me
entertained while I was waiting with her sharp sense of humor. When
I finally got to talk to Chasey, the momentum was gone and I even
drew a blank at one point. I just didn't know what to ask anymore! I
was tired and wanted to go home to have a Scotch on the rocks. So this is how
it turned out...
A: Are you
by nature a horror fan?
CL:
A horror fan? Yes, I love them.
A: What are
your fav horror movies?
CL:
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Friday The 13th movies, The Omen movies…
A: Good
choices, good choices. What was it about this particular script
that made you want to do it?
CL:
Because it’s kind of like all of them rolled into one…have you
read the whole thing?
A: No, I’m
press, I don’t get to read the script.
CL:
It's kind of like pieces of all horror movies put into one film.
A: So it
seemed scary when you read it?
CL:
I though so...yeah.
A: What can
you tell us about your character?
CL:
My character is Amy and she’s camping in the woods with her
boyfriend, you know in typical horror movie style. She hears a
little something and then…well, I’ll have to let you guess the
rest. I don’t want to give the story away…
A: Apart
from the obvious, what are the differences between acting in a
mainstream movie and acting in an adult movie?
CL:
I don’t think one is any harder than the other, one you take
your clothes off, one you don’t.
A: So
mainstream acting itself is easy for you?
CL:
There’s more people on regular sets than there are on adult
sets…but…ummm…yes…
A: Do you
have any other non-adult movies in the works after this one?
CL:
I’m working on a comedy and a thriller.
A: Do you
play the psychopath in the thriller?
CL:
I could [laugh] That would be fun!
A: What’s
your standpoint on the whole “violence in horror movies can
influence violence in real life” deal?
CL:
This is kind of like a really classic style of horror movie; I
don’t think that anybody would take this film seriously.
A: So you
don’t think that violence on film affects violence in real life?
CL:
No, I really don’t, so I can't say that this one nor any other
would.
A: Are you
signed on for the possible sequel?
CL:
I hope I’m signed on for a sequel {laughs} I’d love to be
signed for a sequel!
A: So
you’d love to do more horror movies?
CL:
Yeah, I’d love to!
A: Last
question, have you partied in Montreal yet?
CL:
Not yet are you going to take me?
A:
Sure…why not?
CL:
I’m looking forward to it.
A: Where do
you want to go?
CL:
Anywhere…
A: Cool…
--------------------
And
that was that. I had to bail and let the other journalists get their
turn. Did I wind up partying with Chasey Lain? Hehehe...I won't
tell. I would like to thank Chasey for her
precious time though....she was a real sweetie.
