Warner Bros. is feeling mighty generous today. First they give us the long anticipated teaser for their upcoming Joker-tastic sequel THE DARK KNIGHT and now they've given us a brand-spanking new picture of The Clown Prince of Crime himself making knifey-face with assistant DA Rachel Dawes Mock 2, Maggie Gyllenhaal. Goddamn, he's one bad ass mofo. The Joker brings his insane brand of crime to Gotham on July 18th of next year.

Extra Tidbit: Edward Norton turned down the role of Harvey Dent in order to play Bruce Banner in THE INCREDIBLE HULK. Good choice? Bad choice?

This one has several towards the end that Im not so sure about of Two Face NOT Harvey Dent but 2 face. If they ar real though, they look fantastic to me, a more realistic version of the scarring.

confused? Sorry but I knew that as Alfred and Bruce talking because I saw Batman Begins. Also you KNOW the main villain is The Joker so a voice that says "People will die, I'm a man of my words" Probably should've given it away. Also the voice SOUNDS just like the Joker, IF you know the Joker. If you were confused, that's on YOU not the quality of the TEASER, which if you guys remember, the tea...

Alright, so he's got the purple clothes and a knife to a woman in a bored movie-star way, but what's with the neck, wrist, and ears? Even new mod-hip versions of the Joker have him totally white. The last time I saw such an awful make-up job was with Cesar Romero's refusal to shave his mustache. (And he was otherwise a good flamboyant Joker) So, unless there are some CGI touch-ups in the works,...

(And he was otherwise a good flamboyant Joker) So, unless there are some CGI touch-ups in the works, this looks like some dude who paints his face just because, not a man whose been scarred by an acid bath to look like an evil clown, matching his warped personality. So far, Heath isn't cutting it, so to speak.

For Burton's Batman, Jack's clothes seemed to be equally crisp and pressed, and that worked for that incarnation of the joker. But I thought I read something about heath's outfit being more distressed and ragged, like second-hand clothes, and frankly I liked that notion. It seemed to fit with the grittier take on batma...

Yet this outfit and those gloves look like they've literally been put on him for the first time one minute ago. Even the color of them-- its like friggin primary purple, not that such a color exits-- Either way, I worry a bit about his look.

Afterall, this is coming from Nolan, whom, despite having my great admiration, I must say has some difficulty distinguishing wardrobe and makeup problems-- Anyone see Prestige? (SPOILER AHEAD)That whole makeup thing was painfully obvious, and should have been stopped and done better before a single frame was ever shot.

EDIT: And to the poster directly below this-- Don't worry, if the riddler ever gets a proper spotlight, I guarantee you they'll re-cast the part. Anthony Michael Hall's not a good enough actor-- Ever seen Dead zone-- He looks like he's been sedated.

so many people giving shit to Nolan without having seen the final piece. I guess you're right though, not like he SAVED a franchise and made the single best comic book movie ever, so I guess your crticism is justified.... LOL

he hasn't been smiling in any picture we've seen so far! come on get with the giggles i'm a bit worried they're not gonna get him right. i haven't read much of the comics but i still mark hammill was the only one save caser romero who managed to make a good joker. that's just me though. also like the way he was depicted in arkham asylum and at the mooment he looks mean just not that type of mal...

Well, Omar. If giving us an animated bat logo and calling it a teaser is generous, then eating crap and liking it is also.

At last a new Joker image. Did we get a less Lee Bermejo Joker this time? No. However, his "lipstick" doesn't seem to be as smeared as on the previous image and the cut smile seems to have healed. But still... awful.

(By the by, Deadshot, I'd think that the WB's Suits probably forced Nolan to cast Holmes, since she was on one of their network's shows. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the Suits forced Nolan to write that pointless character into Begins in the first place.)

I don't care what anyone else thinks, playing that online viral game was an awesome idea and this was such a satisfying reward.

I'm totally stoked with his look (although I wish he was a little more...smiley?) and I'm glad he has the green hair and purple suit.
