A trailer arrives through time and space for Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock
January 24, 2012
There are currently a couple of Doctor Who video games in the works. The one that has fans the most excited though is titled DOCTOR WHO: THE ETERNITY CLOCK. Just the title makes a Whovian like me giddy since it sounds like such a perfect name for a DW game. The game is set to feature the Eleventh Doctor, who in the series is played by Matt Smith and in the case of this game, is voiced by Smith. The Doctor is set to be joined by Alex Kingston, who plays Dr. River Song... I swear if River says “Spooooilers!” throughout the game, I’ll find a way to kill off her character.
DOCTOR WHO: THE ETERNITY CLOCK is in development for PS3 and Vita and will be arriving sometime in March (supposedly, although no concrete date has been set) through PSN. A PC version of the game will be following its release shortly after. And although no plot details have really been revealed about the game, a trailer has now been released and features several Doctor Who baddies like Cybermen, the Silence, the Silurians and of course, the Daleks… because it wouldn’t really be Doctor Who without the Daleks (EXTERMINATE!).
So far, my only complaint about the game is its lack of Amy Pond. Ever since she has come into the Doctor Who world, she has taken over as my favourite time-traveling companion and has topped my list of favourite gingers ever. She doesn't appear in the trailer, but she does appear in some of the promo art and screenshots for the game... So maybe there will be a brief appearance by Pond? Anyways, this is not about Amy (or a lack of), but rather it’s about DOCTOR WHO: THE ETERNITY CLOCK in all its glory.
Check out the first full-length trailer for the game and leave us a comment and let us know what YOU think about it.
