If you own a Blu-ray player odds are you also own BBC's wonderful TV documentary mini-series/crack for the eyes "Planet Earth". If you don't I can't recommend it enough, it is enthralling and also one of the best ways to show off your home theater setup and on April 17th BBC's follow-up mini-series "Frozen Planet" is making its way to DVD and Blu-ray.

I expect frozen vistas that will make my eyes weep from beautiful 1080p goodness and to be lulled into a mesmerized state by narrator extraordinaire Sir David Attenburough. As for the actual content of the show imagine "Planet Earth" but focusing on the surprisingly diverse wildlife of the Arctic and Antarctic.

Both "Frozen Planet" Blu-ray and DVD set will feature all seven episodes of the BBC mini-series as well as a few choice special features.
