Born to be Wild BDLook at that Blu-ray cover to the right, specifically the lower half.

Are those guys playing soccer with baby elephants?! Crazy awesome stuff like this (and The Dark Knight Rises) is why IMAX was conceived, I wonder if this documentary Born to be Wild is still showing because I would lay down some serious coin to see a bunch of dudes try to score on a pachyderm goalie.

So wait, if this is a documentary who'd they get to narrate? Morgan "voice that melts butter" Freeman! Now all I can think about is Morgan Freeman doing the play by play for the Humans vs. Baby Elephants grudge match, now I can't help but smile.

IMAX: Born to be Wild is coming to DVD, Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D on April 17th and even though I joked about the elephant soccer it looks like a heartwarming documentary about endangered baby animals and the folks that make it their duty to rescue them:

"Born to be Wild 3D is an inspiring story of love, dedication and the remarkable bond between humans and animals. This film documents orphaned orangutans and elephants and the extraordinary people who rescue and raise them—saving endangered species one life at a time. Stunningly captured in IMAX 3D, Born to be Wild 3D is a heartwarming adventure transporting moviegoers into the lush rainforests of Borneo with world-renowned primatologist Dr. Biruté Mary Galdikas, and across the rugged Kenyan savannah with celebrated elephant authority Dame Daphne M. Sheldrick, as they and their teams rescue, rehabilitate and return these incredible animals back to the wild."

It looks like the only extra you can expect is a digital copy of the film, but if you have a documentary about baby animals and it's narrated by the great Morgan Freeman there is nothing else in the whole wide world that you need to sweeten the deal.

Seriously, just try not to go "Awwwwwww" watching this trailer:

I bet you "Awwwww'ed" at least a little, on the inside.

Extra Tidbit: I wonder if Morgan Freeman can be hired out on an hourly basis? I just want him to follow me around narrating my actions.

You should hire Sir David Attenborough while you're at it, hehe.
