One thing I did find interesting is that despite the title, you donít see a real ďdragonĒ until the last 10 minutes or so. The rest of the time, itís an evil dragon-like monster trying to swallow an orb to become a real dragon. So if youíre coming into this expecting to see a couple of dragons duking it out and wrecking havoc on mankind, youíll be disappointed. In fact, if you come in with any positive expectations, youíll be disappointed.
The best/worst part of this was the dialogue. There is a scene with the two leads on the beach and everything they said was cringe-worthy. It was some of the worst dialogue ever spoken and delivered so painfully that you almost felt sorry for the actors. The effects were also bad, with a permanent blurry outline around all of the CGI characters. If youíre going to be that lazy, then just show the actors in front of a blue screen and let the audience use their imagination.
I know Iím being really mean about the film, but it really was horrible. The shock of how bad this movie was actually stuck with me for a few days after watching it. I could have been easier on it had it been straight to DVD or a foreign release, but for a US theatrical release, this was unacceptable. With that said, if you need a cheesy movie for a drinking game or just to make fun of, then this might be for you.
