WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Lois is visited by a girlfriend from College (who she just so happened to experiment with) who wants to visit her and Peter at home to ask them for a favour. Peter being Peter thinks itís because she wants to have a threesome but what she really wants is for Lois to be her surrogate mother.
IS IT A GOOD MOVIE?
I can honestly say Iím still a FAMILY GUY fan through and through despite the showís creative ups and downs. To say Seth MacFarlane pushes the envelope further and further with each season would be an obvious understatement but itís because of this fact that weíre here today discussing PARTIAL TERMS OF ENDEARMENT, a ďso-soĒ episode banned from TV and thus released on DVD revolving around abortion.

My biggest beef here is that this DVD was made for one twenty-three minute episode. Though I donít see the need for the STAR WARS parodies theyíve been slinging our way, I do at the very least appreciate the fact that theyíre pretty much feature length runtimes. Yes, they threw in a commentary. And yes, they threw in a live comedy show (which was funny at times but Iím still unsure of how I feel about the bashing of that deaf chick) but the fact remains that this DVD revolves around one not so great episode that I donít feel anyone needs to rush out and see, let alone buy.

Like any fan of the series I have my list of favourite episodes but PARTIAL TERMS OF ENDEARMENT is by no means one of them. There are a couple laughs to be had here but theyíre rare and the story itself isnít exactly something most people will find funny. I loved the threesome bit but that was about it. If youíre going to go as far as releasing an uncut, too hot for TV DVD of a FAMILY GUY episode I suggest you make the most of it and create a balls to the walls gut busting laugh fest or forget the whole thing entirely as this feels like itís all about the Benjamines which is another way of saying theyíre taking us fans for a ride.
THE EXTRAS
Commentary: Weíre joined by Seth MacFarlane, Danny Smith, Joseph Lee and Alex Borstein for this commentary and though the episode itself isnít terribly funny, luckily for us this commentary is so it kinda evens out in the end.

Family Guy Presents: Seth and Alexís Almost Live Comedy Show: This is without a doubt the only reason this DVD purchase could indeed be a valid one (and even still, Iím not so sure). I found this live presentation humorous at times but like most FAMILY GUY episodes, they quickly delve into wincing territory.

Family Guy: Live and Uncensored Table Read: Thereís always at least one of these table reads included with these films and/or seasons and as always theyíre entertaining enough to merit a look.

Animatic for Partial Terms of Endearment: Here we get the play by play or rather screen by screen look at the rough episode animation. Theyíve certainly come a long way since season one.

Family Guy Songs: These nine downloadable songs are either good news or bad depending on your individual tastes but personally I find most of them annoying.
FINAL DIAGNOSIS
I liked the first FAMILY GUY straight to DVD movie (the Jesus finger trick still makes me laugh myself into tears) and again, the STAR WARS ones are alright but even those (unnecessary as they may be) pale in comparison to how useless this episode presentation is. This one isnít worth your time or your money.

Extra Tidbit: It wasn't until after watching the Live Special that I realized Seth MacFarlane's "normal" voice is the voice of Brian.
