For all the overwhelmingly profane and ridiculously ribald comedy, though, I found that the actual laughs came pretty few and far between. Here's who's on the Jimmy Kimmel-hosted roast panel, placed in order from funniest to most painful:
Bea Arthur (!)
Courtney Love (yikes!)
...plus there's a musical interlude by Tommy Lee that occurs in between a ton of jokes about the Tommy Lee / Pam Anderson sex-tapes jokes. Meanwhile out in the audience, D-level non-invitees like Charo and Anna Nicole Smith whoop it up and enjoy the free alcohol.
Still, the low-rent event was thrown for a good cause; Comedy Central donated a reportedly large sum of money to PETA to get Pammy in the roaster, which is pretty admirable ... even if all of the comedy schtick is not.
The Pee Break is 80 seconds of semi-celebs running to and from the bathroom.
The Red Carpet Interviews feature 21 more minutes of sorta-schtick and roasty predictions from the likes of Jimmy Kimmel, Courtney Love, Anna Nicole Smith, Andy Dick, Greg Giraldo, Nick DiPaolo, Dennis Rodman, Charo, Adam Carolla, Lisa Lampanelli, and Pammy herself. Props go out to the pixie-ish Comedy Central correspondent who deals with all the horny weirdos with a solid sense of humor.
There's also a batch of Red Carpet Outtakes that runs about 2.5 minutes, a trio of Comedy Central Quickies (clips from South Park, Reno 911, and Mind of Mencia), and a bunch of ComCent trailers.
