WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
It's a broad and ridiculous sci-fi story about a mono-syllabic action star who somehow ass-backwarded his way into the California Governor's mansion. Oh wait, it's based on a true story? Wow.
IS IT A GOOD MOVIE?
This made for cable flick is just 88 consecutive minutes of full-bore and freakishly moronic ass-kissery. Constructed from only the most overused and familiar "bio-pic" tinkertoy pieces, See Arnold Run feels like a feature-length Saturday Night Live skit ... only someone forgot to include the witless jokes and broad punch-lines.

The main problem, among hundreds, lies within the casting department. I mean ... Jurgen Prochnow as Arnold Schwarzenegger? Don't make me laugh. But that's precisely what Jurgen does here: makes us laugh. A lot. His performance feels like a cocktail party-impersonation that simply refuses to end. And that hilarity just keeps coming...

Mariel Hemingway as Maria Shriver? Nora Dunn as Arianna Huffington? Oh, my sides. And then there's some gal named Kristen Shaw who gives the single most inept Barbara Walters impersonation I've ever seen. Basically, were it not for the oh-so-familiar "mood music" found in only the sappiest and most toothless TV-biopics, you'd swear that See Arnold Run was meant as comedy. But it wasn't.

Directed by American Pie 2 helmer James Rogers and poorly written by professional TV hack Matt Dorff (he of the Brady, Osmond, and Charlie's Angels biopics), See Arnold Run is a slow child's crayon-scrawled love letter to a guy who has simply earned way too much in the "undeserved praise" department.

THE EXTRAS
Thankfully, not a one.
FINAL DIAGNOSIS
Entertaining only in an "OMG is this stupid" sort of way, See Arnold Run is a flimsy little biopic that tells us nothing new or noteworthy about a guy who, frankly, has had more than enough press by now.
