WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Brandi (Mena Suvari), an overworked nurses assistant, hits a homeless man while driving under the influence of martinis and E. Too afraid to stop or take him to a hospital, she decides to keep driving with him still stuck through her windshield. Thatís right, heís stuck in her windshield, and heís still very much alive. So she leaves him in the windshield in her garage while she decides what to do with him.
IS IT A GOOD MOVIE?
I have to start this review with a note that this movie might have scarred me for life. Donít get me wrong, itís a well-shot, well-written and well-told story, but the storyline itself is horrifying. Perhaps the worst part is the fact that itís based on a true story.

The directing and editing of this movie is impeccably done and excruciating to watch; every raw, torturous moment is captured in the homeless manís (Stephen Reaís) struggle to survive and escape. The use of timestamps throughout the film effectively show just how long this poor guy is dealing with the pain through attempts to escape. The visual timeline adds some much needed perspective since the scenes of brutality and Suvariís characterís degeneration from nursing assistant for the elderly into a woman who refuses a seriously injured man even the most basic medical care is just flat out scary. Suvari and Reaís acting is superb as both characters become increasingly desperate for a way out.

The script is the most effective part of the production, and it had to be. To tell a story about real people acting in the most inhumane ways, the writing had to be amazing to make this a watchable movie. More impressively, this movie manages to keep a sense of humor throughout, albeit a super dark sense of humor, but itís the thread that will keep you locked in to the story.
THE EXTRAS
The only extra is the Trailer.
FINAL DIAGNOSIS
Itís a good film, and itís definitely worth watching, but you might want to keep reminding yourself that the woman who actually did this is currently rotting in jail for 50 years. Extra Tidbit: There's a decent amount of full-frontal female nudity from both Mena Suvari and Sharlene Royer.
