WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
A former KGB agent (Dolph Lundgren) gets burned during a hit and goes on the run to protect his ex-wife and daughter. Nobody is who they seem and everybody is out to get him. Don't worry though, he's a KILLING MACHINE.
IS IT A GOOD MOVIE?
Dolph Lundgren is...THE KILLING MACHINE. Six words in and I think you already know whether or not this flick is for you. It delivers on everything the title implies, as Dolph does in fact kill numerous people with a clock-like precision. He uses everything from fists and feet, to nearly every type of gun imaginable and a barbell-impaling that tops the Joker's "magic trick" in THE DARK KNIGHT.

The success of THE KILLING MACHINE rests firmly on Dolph Lundgren's shoulders. He has an amazing, cocksure charisma throughout and just looks like a bad-ass should. You can completely tell Dolph directed the movie too because of all the great close-ups and "hero shots" he gets. The supporting cast features the great Bo Svenson and a bunch of mostly-unknowns who all hold their own. Stefanie von Pfetten as the ex-wife in particular caught my eye (and not just because she's rather good looking).

Dolph's direction is mostly competent, although there were times where it felt like I was watching an upper-echelon softcore porn on Cinemax. The budget plays a role in that and is one of only two things holding THE KILLING MACHINE back. You can tell they skimped out on sets and hiring somebody who could write a decent score. The other negative is the script, which is filled with cliches and predictable lines. Not a huge deal because of how awesome watching Dolph is but it was still frustrating at times.
THE EXTRAS
Behind-the-Scenes: Fun 20-minute look into the making of THE KILLING MACHINE. You'll watch it once and then forget about it but how can you say "no" to more Dolph?
FINAL DIAGNOSIS
Will I watch THE KILLING MACHINE ever again? Yes. It's not the deepest movie but it held my attention throughout its tight 85 minute run-time and is just plain fun to watch. The world would be a far better place if a new Dolph Lundgren movie came out every month.

Wait! Wait!

I have not seen this movie but nothing and I mean nothing will ever top the Joker's, "Disappearing Pencil" trick. Whose with me on this!

I don't know man. Dolph shoves a dude's eye-socket right into a barbell in front of his little daughter...That's tough to beat, no matter how good the Joker's trick was.
