WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
A troubled cop (Madsen) teams up with the only woman on the force (Hannah) to find out why other officers are being taken out one by one.
IS IT A GOOD MOVIE?
According to the blurb on the box, Vice is one of the best cop movies Dennis Hopper has ever seen. I’m not sure what real relevance that could have to the review, but it might come in handy later.

Vice is one of 12 Michael Madsen movies to come out in 2008 and (according to IMDb) there are another seven slate for release sometime between this very moment and December 31st. How that’s possible, I don’t know, and I’m certainly not going to waste any time doing the math.

The movie stars Madsen as Walker, a whiskey-soaked B-level version of Harvey Keitel in Bad Lieutenant, who spits out gems like “The truth is, we’re all dead…or dying” just moments before slapping a whore for a handjob. But the movie is all really just a 99-minute excuse for him to squint and take in another paycheck.

The plot—if you can imagine there being one—involves a drug deal gone bad and the members of the force who subsequently get picked off one at a time. And then there’s Daryl Hannah as the only female on the force, Salt, gothed out and mumbling like some sort of “misunderstood” teenager.

I’m writing this review on a hectic Christmas Eve, so excuse me for not going for the clever closer. I’ll leave you with this, though: did you know Henry Winkler directed one of the best cop movies I’ve ever seen?
THE EXTRAS
Premiere Footage (16:58): …at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre?! Cast and crew gather on the red carpet, inside the theatre, and at the after party for the world premiere of Vice. Entirely too long.

Featurette 1 (4:49) and Featurette 2 (6:38) are both behind-the-scenes looks at Vice, with interviews and on-set footage.

Also included are a Music Video and the Theatrical Trailer.
FINAL DIAGNOSIS
Vice sucks. And it has Daryl Hannah
