Shelman, this isn't a made for TV movie. It's a theatrical film that is being made by CMT, much like Napoleon Dynamite was done by MTV or some of those teeniebopper movies by Nickelodeon. |

I honestly can't understand why the extremely talented Jeff Bridges is doing a TV movie,let alone a very mediocre cable channel for that matter. He is a big star and this sure seems like a step down for him. It is hard to believe that the Mag's & Duvall are doing this too! I have a feeling that Mag's will drop out after she gets the huge amount of exposure from the "Dark Knight!" I'm willing to bet that these all of them, including the legendary Duvall doing a TV movie. I bet that there will be a lot casting changes in the long run. Maybe someday TV movies will rival the Box office movies,(Maybe in 20-25 years at the least) but I seriously doubt it. Maybe this is a passion project for them, I don't know, but GAC has gotten a great cast but I very much doubt this will be good or if anyone will watch this either. Of course they will show it over & over so maybe they can recoup their cost |

she looks like shes 42 and shes like 28 and that detracts from every movie she is cast in bc her appearance doesnt match her age. She could play a 40 year old mother no problem, but now we have her replacing Katie Holmes and she looks like she could be her mother. She is a hell of an actress though! |

I remember thinking it weird when MTV, VH1 and Nickelodeon were all making theatrical movies but now it seems we also have CMT (Country Music Television) movies as well. Jeff Bridges, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Robert Duvall have all signed on to star in CRAZY HEART for CMT Films. As you might expect, the film has something to do with country music and by something I mean "completely everything." Bridges will play a down-on-his-luck country singer who helps turn his life and career around with the help of a female reporter (Gyllenhaal). O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU? soundtrack guru T Bone Burnett will produce the original music for the film that Bridges will himself perform. Bridges, who just got his ass kicked by Iron Man this summer, can be seen next in the comedy HOW TO LOSE FRIENDS AND ALIENATE PEOPLE. Gyllenhaal can be seen doing her best Katie Holmes impression in THE DARK KNIGHT, in theaters tomorrow. Filming on CRAZY HEART is set to begin next month in New Mexico.
