ANOTHER SACRED COW DEFILED?
ENTER THE DRAGON is the martial arts equivalent of COMMANDO... it's a pretty great movie if you ignore everything else (performances, writing, directing but kudos to Lalo Schifrin for the score!). If this were a film with ANYONE ELSE other than Bruce Lee, it would be relegated to a very standard film other than the legendary status it currently enjoys. I'm all for retconning films that had an interesting idea but didn't execute as well as it could have (e.g. OCEAN'S 11, THE THING, THE FLY) and I plan on following this project with a degree of apprehension. |

Enter the Dragon isn't like Crouching Tiger either. Chuck Norris should round house kick Hollywood... |

WELL...
Since its' a from a guy who pens the shield which is one of my favorite shows, I would say at least the script should be kickass. Hopefully they get the right guys to make it though. |

Bring this movie on!
Plagiarism? Sounds like the movie will insert a few new ideas of it's own. Whom ever gets the Bruce Lee role could be an unknown, it's too early to say. |

NOT A REMAKE.
Hollywood isn't doing remakes anymore. Now they're just flat out ripping off the work of others and calling it their own. I'd call it plagiarism, but at least they're not touting it as a new idea. They're just honest about the fact that they'd rather not take chances on new ideas and young talent. |
