Cloverfield poster! Jul. 26, 2007

Looks like that possible teaser poster for CLOVERFIELD that we threw up here a couple of days ago turned out to be legit, as EW.com has our first look at the piece of artwork, although the word 'monstrous' that was previously on top is mysteriously absent. They've also revealed a few secrets from the film, like that the monster is not a parasite or a giant robot, like some have suspected. So what do you guys think of the poster? Too blockbuster-looking for a movie that is shot in verité style?

Extra Tidbit: Cloverfield is the name of a street in LA where Abrams has an office.

This movie better not be as confusing as the show "LOST". As good as that show was at times, you just don't end a season with people looking down a hole. I know this has probably been brought up 1,000 times before, but you can definitely hear a fleeing pedestrian scream:
"It's a lion and it's huge!"
at the end of the trailer.

Personally I would not be opposed to a new perspective like this on a Godzilla movie, but I HIGHLY doubt that this flick will feature said titular lizard.

dude....someone tell ryan to leave off the caps lock

Good looking poster. I'd still like a little hint about what it is, but this'll do for now.

Now we a clear picture of the poster which was posted before. It does look really BLOCKBUSTERISH. The trailor first I thought it was shot by some bunch of young kids, or I thought it was commercial,,,

Now we a clear picture of the poster which was posted before. It does look really BLOCKBUSTERISH. The trailor first I thought it was shot by some bunch of young kids, or I thought it was commercial,,,

But in trailors they show different only some parts of the movie. I am sure the quality of the movie is standard.

I'm approaching this like I do "Lost": Instead of worrying about the deeper meaning of it all, I'm just going to sit back and watch a guy who genuinely loves what he does at work.

Interesting, if you notice in the water, there are ripples like something is moving through it. Sea creature possibly? It would explain how it was able to get out to the Statue Of Liberty and rip its head off. Either ...
