CABIN FEVER was one of the most profitable independent films of the past year. It was made by a man and his credit cards, and managed to scare the shit out of plenty of people (while making them laugh in between the scares) I recently had the chance to take a sneak peek at this film's DVD (which comes out on Tuesday, January 20th), supervised entirely by the film's director Eli Roth, and it's really one of the more original ones that I've seen in quite some time. First of all, it's got a great opening menu feature, that gets you right into the film's mood, as well as trippy transitions and extras...boy, if you dig on extras, there's plenty of them here, including some porno chicks and Deputy Winston going at it in some of the Easter Eggs.

Anyway, the film is actually a "soft sell" for anyone who digs their horror raw, with a touch of the warped.
