COUPLES RETREAT boasts a pretty impressive cast - Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau, Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell and Malin Akerman among others - and a pretty funny premise (four married couples each with their own issues at a couples retreat on a tropical island), so why didn't I laugh more at the trailer?
The trailer, which will be in theaters tomorrow with PUBLIC ENEMIES and can be seen below, is amusing and does offer up some promise that the seemingly R-rated film will be funnier in its entirety but didn't leave me with this overwhelming urge to seethisnow. Not surprisingly it's Favreau who has the best lines in the trailer and continues to prove himself as a deft comic sidekick as well as something of a director.
